In return, tell your guide that you want to stay at Oak Ridge! You always have the option of choosing where you want to stay. Fishing for summerruns in shorts is one of my favorite things to do. As a result, you can rest assured that our recommendation is based on what we believe to be the best option for you, your fishing abilities and objectives, not because we feel obligated to pitch a “Pro Staff”. My lovely sidekick Danny and I fly fishing the Skykomish. When we recommend a guide, we choose from the list of ALL available guides, not just the “Pro Staff”. This way, there’s never any question whether someone got preferential treatment. We have NO business relationship with any of the guides: we offer ALL licensed guides the same benefits (free use of our ramp, free drink with meal and a discount on tackle), regardless of any affiliation they may have with other businesses. As a result, we welcome all of the guides (and all of their customers) to Oak Ridge. If a motel has no rooms available for a particular weekend, customers need somewhere else to stay. If the fish are biting on one side of the lake, guides shouldn’t be tied down to the other side. We believe guides need multiple places to hang their hats. Pro Staff?
